Laureate of the Passages residency, Léa Bigot is a ceramist. She creates particular pieces, which, sometimes useful, bring Art into the realm of design.
In Lagos, she plans to create an installation consisting of several bench modules, sculpted in clay and with natural fibers woven directly into the clay.

“I define myself as an artist-designer. I approach sculpture as a medium to create forms made to evolve in our daily space. I like to rethink the place of the unique object and its place in our interiors. I like the ambiguity of creating particular pieces, which is often useful in bringing Art into the realm of design. I mainly work with stoneware (ceramic) but my approach focuses on the meeting and dialogue between materials. "

The Citadel of Marseille
